Q. What is Nevada's Big Give?

Nevada's Big Give is a 24-hour online crowdfunding event created to rally community support for Nevada’s charitable causes. On March 22, 2018, thousands of Nevadans will come together to support nonprofit organizations and schools across Nevada and make a real impact – every donation gives organizations the chance to win financial prizes while also furthering their mission.

Q. When is Nevada's Big Give?

Nevada’s Big Give will be held on March 22, 2018 from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm PST. You will be able to make donations and have them count towards the Nevada’s Big Give totals and your chosen organization’s total dollars raised and total donors starting February 22, 2018.

Q. Which Organizations Can Participate?

Nevada-based 501(c)3 legally IRS registered nonprofit organizations and registered public schools are eligible to receive donations. Organizations based outside of Nevada are eligible to participate if the majority of service is delivered within Nevada.

Donations through the Nevada’s Big Give online portal to charitable nonprofit organizations are tax-deductible and cannot be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit and debit card only. Donations will be received and receipted by GiveGab.

Q. What is GiveGab?

GiveGab is an online giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy-to-use products that allow organizations to function in a more streamlined manner.

Q. How will donations be distributed?

Each donation made to a participating nonprofit will be disbursed directly from GiveGab via direct deposit within 24-48 hours.

Q. How much of my donation will go to the nonprofit?

GiveGab retains a 2% campaign management fee from all donations, capped at $20 per donation. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.2% + $0.30 for standard credit cards and 3.5% + $0.30 for AMEX. You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to the receiving organization. All donations are final and cannot be refunded.
Donations made through the Nevada’s Big Give portal are not subject to a United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) administrative fee.

Q. Why does my donation receipt say United Way of Southern Nevada?

As the organization powering Nevada’s Big Give, United Way of Southern Nevada is the campaign fundraiser for all donations made through the Nevada’s Big Give portal at To reflect this, your receipt will say “Donation Receipt from United Way of Southern Nevada, designated to ORGANIZATION”. Your donation is not subject to a UWSN administrative fee, and 100% of your donation, minus any GiveGab or credit card processing fees left uncovered, will be directly distributed to the nonprofit organization or school.

Q. Who will receive my contact information?

The organization(s) you choose to support will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, provide the option to receive future notifications, and to notify you of future activities. As the host of Nevada’s Big Give, United Way of Southern Nevada will also receive the information in order to acknowledge donations and send news and updates about Nevada’s Big Give related activities. UWSN will not share donor information.
You have the option to make your donation anonymous. Anonymous donations will be displayed as "Anonymous." on the organization's page. Organizations will still have access to your name and email address.

Q. Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No, you do not need to create an account to make a donation. The benefits of creating an account include having your tax receipts collected in one location, being able to track your donations, follow the charities you support, and engage in future volunteering and donations. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.

Q. Can I make donations on a mobile device?

Yes! Simply visit on your mobile device to make a gift.

Q. Can I pre-schedule a donation for Nevada's Big Give?

Yes! Starting on February 22, 2018, donors will be able to make their donation in advance, while still having it count for the total amount raised for Nevada’s Big Give. Donations made between February 22 and March 22 at 11:59 pm will also count for organizations aiming to win prizes based on total dollar or donor amount.
